With this exhibition, < rotor > continues its examination of questions around designing the public space and participation. The invited artists and artists’ collectives have realized exemplary projects in different mainly European city districts, which we will present in two venues. One part of the exhibition will be shown at < rotor >, the second one in the HDA - House of Architecture. All the works originate from diverse urban contexts. Using strategies of communication, the artists manage to involve the expertise of neighbors in the creative process, and combine this with convincing aesthetics. (<rotor>)

The exhibition is a spatial discourse that shows and tells the story of several actions placed in the public space, exhibiting how we work, bringing in some of the tools that we use, looking at the evolution of the processes and acknowledging the people involved. The materials and objects used - whether they are re-used from past exhibitions or they will be a resource for future projects of the organizations - reflect not only what we do, but also how we practice in the public space.
The projects are grouped by typology in different areas of the exhibition. The Public Equipment projects are documented with photos and models of the objects-installations. The Education Workshops’ projects show the stages of these educational activities, from the cartography of the areas to the actual building works and the inauguration events. The Community projects developed in diverse urban neighborhoods try to exhibit the complex nature of this kind of projects: two pop-up drawings render together different actions that took place on the same place throughout several months or years, and a vertical panel expose all the stages, people, organizations and actions involved in a project. The exhibition layout is centered on a temporary amphitheater, built for the documentary showing the tools we work with, and also for accommodating the symposium related to the exhibition, or for other events of HDA.
